Greetings Everyone, The cast has been selected and the rehearsals have begun. My apologies for not keeping you in the loop, but it is extremely time consuming being the writer and director of a production. The casting process was very interesting and a true test of patience. I enjoyed every moment and it was a true learning experience for my crew and staff. Here are a few steps that I always follow during the casting process:
  • Finding a location, easy accessibility is key. If you want to get the maximum amount of people to audition, you must have a prime location near mass transit.
  • Invitation, the rule of two is key. Always remember to invite twice as many people that you expect to show up to the audition.
  • Prepare, advance preparation is key. Make sure you have all paperwork and necessary items ready and in order the day before the audition.

These three steps should help out anyone that is new to the casting process and is looking for a few simple tips to help out.

Thank you for taking the time to read this blog. Stay tuned for the next posting, rehearsals.....
